Refillable banchan. Sweet mashed potatoes salad, pickled radish and a cold seaweed soup.

Ojinguh-bokkeum [Spicy Stir-fried Squid ] The stir fried squid is very tender, sourish with a slightly sweet and spicy flavor.

Sola Pocha Solaris Mont Kiara

Sola Pocha Solaris Mont Kiara

Haemul Pajeon [Seafood Pancake ] Totally recommended! Crispy outside, light and fluffy inside with tender and fresh seafood in each bite.

Sola Pocha Solaris Mont Kiara

Sola Pocha Solaris Mont Kiara

Hong Hap Tang [ Mussel Soup ] The generous amount of mussels in the pot give the soup a great flavor. The soup is very tasty and a little spicy.

Sola Pocha Solaris Mont Kiara

Sola Pocha Solaris Mont Kiara

Cheese Buldak [ Spicy chicken with cheese ]. Chicken pieces cooked with spicy korean sauce and topped with a lot of cheese. Not very spicy actually. I think the cheese buldak will taste much better if they only use big cubes of skinless chicken thighs. Is not comfortable to eat the chicken skin with cheese and chili oil.

Sola Pocha Solaris Mont Kiara

Sola Pocha Solaris Mont Kiara

Jokbal [ Korean Boiled Pig Trotters with mustard sauce and salad ] Although they don’t look that appetizing, taste similar to Teochew braised pig’s leg. Interesting texture, cold, chewy and taste like meat jelly.

Sola Pocha Solaris Mont Kiara

Sola Pocha Solaris Mont Kiara

Jjambbong Tang [ Spicy Seafood Soup ] ) was full with seafood. Flower crab, squid, prawns, mussels and clams. It has a strong seafood taste but fresh and a bit of spiciness. Delicious.

Fried chicken and soju! I still prefer fried chicken with beer. The fried chicken was crispy and tender, but nothing special. The white color liquid in clear bottle is Sola Pocha special cocktail soju- yogurt soju. Taste like milkis with soju. Smooth and will not burn your throat.

The staff will take the meat you choose and cook in the kitchen. Cool for people who are not good in bbq and afraid of the after bbq smell. What you need to do is to eat the bbq meat and banchan only.

There are a lot of fresh vegetables free flow for you to wrap the bbq meats. Not only the normal green lettuce, they have green pepper, garlic, white lettuce, red leaf lettuce, perilla and celery.

Milkies, sikhye – the yellow can [traditional sweet Korean rice beverage] and sac sac grape juice. There are free cold water for you if you don’t want to order any beverage.

Very limited seating in the restaurant, so i think is better you call for reservation to avoid any disappointment. Not a time limit buffet, you can eat till the shop closed.

Grid & Go – Waffle Stall @ One Utama Shopping Center

While waiting for 007 Spectre in GSC One Utama, i bought a waffle from Grid & Go to try.

Grid & Go Waffles One Utama

Grid & Go Waffles One Utama

Grid & Go is located at the same floor of Golden Screen Cinema. The waffle stall is clean and bright, you can easily spot it at first glance.

Grid & Go Waffles One Utama

They have quite a few choices for waffle flavors. But all the waffle is just waffle, without any toppings. IMO, the waffle tastes great on its own.

Grid & Go Waffles One Utama

Creamy Hokkaido @ RM 7. Crispy outside and soft inside. It’s not creamy inside, but the texture is softer mochi like.

Grid & Go Waffles One Utama

Grid & Go Waffles One Utama

Mochi Caramel @ RM6. It is pretty much like Creamy Hokkaido but with the caramel taste. The inside is thicker and more chewy. I like Mochi Caramel than Creamy Hokkaido, but both were good waffle too.

Tarabagani Kamameshi – Red King Crab Pot Rice
We had to wait 10-20 minutes for the rice to cook, but the wait is worth it. There were 4-5 pieces of king crab legs in the pot. The rice becomes rich with crab, carrot and mushroom flavor.I cannot taste any seasoning but just the natural flavor from the ingredients, which is very nice and comforting.

Wei Dao Jiang Hu has expanded their business and they are doing Szechuan Hot Pot just next to their restaurant. Lap Cheong and me went to try the hot pot and i am here writing the review of it.

We had the combination soup base @ RM18. Half for chicken soup and half for hot and spicy soup. I strongly recommend you to take the combination soup even if you can take very hot and spicy food. The chicken soup was surprisingly good, it does taste like herbal chicken soup that boiled for long time. It was better than the hot and spicy soup.

The sauce counter. You can get whatever sauce that you like from here for unlimited time. They have many types of dipping sauce. From fresh chopped green onions, sesame oil, Lao Gan Ma chili crisp sauce, soy sauce, garlic, fried onion, peanuts, peanut sauce and more! But you have to pay for the dipping sauce too. RM2 per pax.

Pickled cabbage @ RM8 is a must order if you are having hot and spicy hotpot. It goes very well with hot and spicy soup.

Fresh prawn paste @ RM15 This was strongly recommended by the lady boss. The prawn paste was so-so and the portion is really small for RM15. Not recommended.

Cuttlefish pork ball @ RM8. There were 8 pieces of it but they cut them in half.

Luncheon meat @ RM10. Not recommended. The luncheon meat was the healthy version of luncheon meat. It was firmer but lack of taste. We were like chewing a meat taste of harder version tofu.

Wei Dao Jiang Hu Hotpot Kepong

Rolled bacon with enoki skewer @ RM3 per stick. We had grilled chicken wings too. The grilled food was good but too much of cumin powder on it.

We paid RM70+ for the meal. Price is really reasonable as you get what you pay. Good soup, good sauce, fresh and tasty food, good service too. Nothing to complain and we will definitely go back for the hotpot.
